February General Horoscope for all Zodiac Signs
If it is good to live, it is even better to dream, and best of all to awaken.
February will open on a positive note with the New Moon in Aquarius on Monday, February 4. As the sign of technology, collaboration, and innovation, Aquarius thrives off of brainstorming and experimentation. Notice if there’s a part of your life that feels stale or outdated, as this new moon will give you an excellent opportunity to revamp what’s old , give yourself a makeover, or take on new perspective that’s reflective of the most outspoken, forward thinking artists, scientists, and entrepreneurs.

George Balanchine, Founder of
New York City Ballet
Aquarius Sun, Pisces Moon, Cancer Ascendant
God creates, I do not create. I assemble and I steal everywhere to do it – from what I see, from what the dancers can do, from what others do. George Balanchine
It’s not surprising that Mr. Balanchine, the father of neo classical ballet, is an Aquarius. His imagination and vision were well ahead of his time. He had a talent for bringing out the individuality of his dancers and bringing them to the edge of their capability. Yet, he also cherished the oneness of his dancers, and took pride in his collective vision of perfection.
As the 11th sign of the zodiac Aquarius sees the big picture, and needs to make a special contribution to the future- whether this involves a community, social movement, or humanitarian cause, Aquarius is born with a mission. Mr. Balanchine’s devotion to his dancers, which eventually (with the assistance Lincoln Kirstein) became New York City Ballet, is now historical, yet still lives in the future as through his creation of the Balanchine technique.
Musicality was Mr. Balanchine’s greatest gift, as he had great respect for music in its own right. With the Moon in Pisces, the most musical sign of the zodiac, he had a natural sense of rhythm, and flow. A trained classical pianist, he likely could just as easily been a composer. With his rising sign in Cancer, the sign of family and nurturing, Mr. Balanchine was comfortable taking on a father role-feeling personally responsible for the welfare of his dancers, and taking care of them. He was known for his generosity and loyalty, for once a dancer was chosen to ride under his wing, the sky would emerge and reveal the brightest stars.

Dr. Martin Luther King’s Vision Still Alive as the Sun enters Aquarius
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day coincides with the Sun’s entrance into Aquarius, the sign of humanity, how fitting!! Aquarian energy will inspire you to love your neighbor as yourself, and take a more serious look into how you can make a difference in your community.
The Sun is in Aquarius, the sign of togetherness, independence, and friendship. Let this month be an opportunity for you to give freely to those who need it most.
Behold the turtle, he makes progress only when he sticks his neck out.
James Bryant Conant
For mortal to aid mortal-this is God. Pliny the Elder
A full moon in Gemini will arrive Tuesday, December 13, and its influence will carry on until Christmas. As the sign of correspondence and trade, Gemini likes to keep us moving. You can expect the last two weeks to be busy, but no so much that you can’t make extra time to catch up with friends and socialize. Keep in mind Mercury (Gemini’s ruler), will be retrograde from Thursday, December 19, thru Monday, January, 9, which will definitely keep things interesting. Gifts cards will likely be the safest bet for fickle loved ones. Loved ones you know very well may undergo a change in personal taste that may be nearly impossible for you to anticipate.
The good news is the full moon will be in beautiful alignment with Jupiter, the Santa Clause of astrology (now in Libra, the planet of relationships). So, even if you miss the mark with a special gift, your generosity will be graciously received. The new moon will arrive Thursday, December 29, in Capricorn. This new moon will a great way to usher in 2017, as it will firmly shake hands with the action planet, Mars, (which will be in Pisces). The following two week will be a great time to get down to business (a Capricorn virtue) while be guided by what truly inspires you (thanks to Pisces).
For those who will celebrate Christmas, you can look forward to a beautiful day. A most fortuitous and rare alignment between Venus and Jupiter will click in perfection on Christmas day, 8:23 a.m. EST. Venus, the planet of love and affection, will be in Aquarius, a fabulous match for Jupiter in Libra. Indeed, if you are an air sign, this Christmas will likely be very memorable. And for all the rest, no matter your faith, this day will likely lift your spirits, and make you want to sing your favorite song.

A Pisces Solar Eclipse Paves the Way for 2016~
Today hosts the first Solar Eclipse of 2016, in the zodiac’s last sign, Pisces. An interesting mix, as this suggests a new beginning with a tone of finality, like a new chapter that begins with a memory, flashback, or foreshadowing of what’s to come. Intuition is what Pisces is all about, and it’s often said that what will be in the future has already been laid out by a string of thoughts, ideas, and quiet longings that have slowly been gathering, to create momentum.
Consider this idea as you move ahead in a particular area of your life, and you may be surprised to realize how well the route has been laid out to your new destination. If you don’t see a route however, you’ll likely need to take a detour, and this is largely what Solar Eclipses are all about-fresh starts. It’s kind of like that moment in Flash Dance , when audition time has come, and the music plays- but the steps aren’t quite polished… something is off.
Nothing wrong with that, however! She (actress Jennifer Beals), just asks if she can start over, and from there on, it’s magic. She’s in control, yet totally free. I think this shows the beauty of timing. There are times when we need to start over, and if you truly feel you need a re-start- if you ask God, your higher power, or whatever you believe in, (Pisces is a highly spiritual sign), to start again, chances are excellent that you’ll get another chance, and this time- you’ll nail it.
More on that to come, as there are some other planetary alignments that will require you to carefully strategize. Until then, here’s s a snap shot of what changes this eclipse will bring for you in the next several months. Pisces is gentle energy, but it also runs deep~

An Unforgettable Lady
I was heart struck to hear of Natalie Cole’s passing. Sometimes people would mistake my mother for her, and her passing reminded me of my mother’s charm and natural elegance. As the daughter of legendary Nat King Cole, Natalie had quite a path to follow, but eventually, she found her own voice, and she never gave up. She was brutally honest about her battle with substance abuse in in her courageous autobiography, Angel on My Shoulder, a beautiful autobiography that resounds with faith (Ms. Cole’s Aquarius Sun was in perfect harmony with Neptune, the planet symbolic of angelic forces). Even though she often shined in the unforgettable light of her father, Nat King Cole, she went on to join the Aquarian family (Oprah Winfrey, Abraham Lincoln) and made her own way-which led to her multiple Grammy Award legacy. The road was not easy however, but she never gave up. With Terpsichore in Capricorn, the sign of longevity and commitment, I believe her singing gave her a spiritual foundation.
May she rest in peace~
