Saturn entered Sagittarius on December 23 for a 6 month stay, and will retrograde back into Scorpio from June until September of this year. After September 15, Saturn will settle in Sagittarius for two years, until December 19, 2017. You will likely feel the shift as the New Year begins, which will get you focused in a fresh new direction for personal growth.

Saturn, like all planets (and people), has attributes and downfalls. In astrology, one’s Saturn return, the time when Saturn returns to the same place when one was born, has become a phenomenon in its self. It is a kind of rite of passage into real adulthood, maturity, and wisdom.

As the New Year begins, there may be several aspects of yourself you would like to change, improve upon, or completely revamp. You may want to get more organized, have more fun, manage your money better, or show your softer side to your sweetheart, yet become more assertive at work. The possibilities are endless! Saturn’s entrance into Sagittarius will enable you to get clear on where to put your energy…where your life’s circumstances will clearly say-                     you need to work on this.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

 You have probably had a chance to clean house while Saturn was in Scorpio-triggering your chart’s arena of deep intimacy, financial investments, and debt. As Saturn continues to travel through Sagittarius, legal matters, academia, and international affairs will be areas that will offer you growth, wisdom, and ultimate mastery. At times what you believe in most may be severely challenged, only for you to discover what in-fact is more real than you ever thought, the power of your own inner certainty.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

 Now that Saturn has left your partnership sign of Scorpio, you have developed mastery in relating to others on an equal basis, and your closest relationship has probably reaped many benefits of this. As Saturn continues through Sagittarius, you will be challenged to ‘let go’, both psychologically and materially. One of your most important lessons will likely revolve around developing a deeper trust with your closest partner.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

 Work, work, and more work was likely the focus for you for these past two years while Saturn was in Scorpio, highlighting your daily routine and overall well-being. Your health may have presented many challenges, especially throughout a demanding work schedule. As Saturn gets comfortable in Sagittarius, partnership, reciprocity, and one on one collaboration will areas where you can learn the most, and celebrate your highest achievements.

 

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

 If single, dating has probably been more work than fun, as you made the decision to get serious about finding someone who’s right for you, long term. If attached, you may have had differences with your partner about conceiving a child, or if you have children, you may have had to solidify your authority and take on more responsibility. Saturn’s emergence into Sagittarius will likely put the pressure on at work, and compel you to be more diligent with organizing your daily activities. Efficiency will become your golden rule.

 

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

 You may have recently moved, or made a big change with your family or personal life as Saturn traveled through Scorpio, and hit the very bottom of your chart, the host of your most personal feelings ad experiences. As Saturn settles in Sagittarius, romance, risk taking, and your creative expression will become the ground work for self- mastery. If you want to have a child, you’ll put your all into it, which will become a beautiful lesson of self- discovery.

 

VIRGO (August. 23-Sept. 22)

You may have had wires crossed in many directions as a result of Saturn’s stay in Scorpio, which oversees your chart’s communication hub. Either crucial information was withheld from you, or you felt as though no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t get your message across. Now that Saturn has moved to Sagittarius, information will likely flow freely, and clearly. A home, family matter, or real estate investment will likely soon turn into a major life project, and success.

 

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

 Money was a serious matter for you as Saturn journeyed through Scorpio, lighting up your charts arena of earned income, assets, and personal values. A budgetary diet may have become the norm for you for the past two years. Now that Saturn has moved on to Sagittarius, you’ll have many an opportunity to learn about your communication style. You may embark on a writing project, promotional campaign, or decide that sales is where it’s at for you, especially if it involves a global market.

 

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

 Ah, now you can breathe dear Scorpio! Saturn is out of your sign, not to return to Scorpio until November 12, 2041, in other words, a very long time!! Not that Saturn’s all that bad, but when it’s in you sign, you can really feel the pressure. Now, on to your money. It’s time to excel in your special talent so you can have long-lasting financial security. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

 You have likely experienced a tremendous healing during Saturn’s visit to Scorpio, which resides in your charts arena of unconscious patterns, imagination, and spirituality. If you’re an artist, you have had a rough time maintaining your optimism, and may have wondered, is it really worth it? CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

 Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, so you are naturally comfortable with Saturn’s energy, which exudes discipline, prudence, and sophistication. Saturn’s journey through Scorpio probably taught you a lesson or two about true friendship. You may have let go of people in your life, only to be left with those who really matter, a lifelong gift. Now that Saturn has moved on to Sagittarius, your inner life will demand your attention. What truly satisfies you from within will likely take the spotlight of your life, and ground you like nothing else can.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

 Your life path may have gotten you a bit down these past two years as Saturn’s journey through Scorpio peaked at the top of your chart, where you destiny lies to be seen by all. Just what exactly you wanted to do with your life may have consumed you like never before. Now, you are likely on track, and playing it cool, (Aquarius’s specialty). As Saturn slides deeper into Sagittarius, (not to leave until December 19, 2017), you have the opportunity to learn about making your grandest vision a reality, and bringing the VIPs on board to seal the deal.

 

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

 Faith- a belief that there is a God, a force, a spirit of optimism, has likely been your golden lesson, and made you especially wise. Saturn’s journey through Scorpio channeled you into your chart’s ninth house, where your personal life philosophy reigns. Now that (through experience), you’ve become a master of your own faith, you’ll be compelled to create a legacy. What shape this will take is of course completely up to you, but as Saturn gets comfortable in Sagittarius, you’ll likely become a leader whose reach will be unlimited.

This week begins with a New Moon at 0 degrees Capricorn- a potent degree for this cardinal sign. All signs will feel the impact, but Capricorns especially!  As the holiday season comes to its peak and leads into the tail end of the year, we will be pulled to buckle down, and get serious. This event will definitely be a timely cosmic foreshadowing as Saturn (Capricorn’s planetary ruler), initiates into Sagittarius, after a two year journey in Scorpio.
