The Sun is now in Aquarius!

The universe is made up of stories, not atoms.  Muriel Rukeyser

The Sun’s journey through the constellation of Aquarius will last until Sunday, February 18. As the zodiac’s third air sign, Aquarius reflects the mature intellectual who thrives off objectivity. Aquarius is also infamous for being the best friend who forever remains loyal. While the Sun shines in Aquarius, you’ll have an opportunity to show up for a friend, become more active in your community, and create emotional distance from an ongoing circumstance that requires you to stretch your personality. This will help you gain wisdom as you strive to do bigger and better things, as Aquarius is also the sign of higher vision and new possibilities.

Boris Lermontov: Why do you want to dance? Victoria Page: Why do you want to live?  Boris Lermontov : Well I don’t know exactly why, er, but I must.

Victoria Page: That’s my answer too.

Moira Shearer is most famous for her starring role in the classic dance film, The Red Shoes, directed by  Hollywood icon Michael Powell. Born on January 17, 1926, Ms. Shearer is a Capricorn. As the zodiac’s 10th sign, Capricorn is the zenith of the zodiac, and thrives on ambition. Saturn, the planet of realism, is Capricorn’s ruler. Thus, even though Capricorn has high hopes, she (or he) is not afraid to work hard-because it builds character, Capricorn’s most notable virtue.

With her moon in Pisces, the zodiac’s most imaginative sign, Ms. Shearer was also a dreamer who was known for her sensitivity. Her Leo ascendant made her a natural performer who adored the spotlight. The sign on the ascendant, (or rising sign), reflects ones public image, physical appearance,  and demeanor. Her infamous red hair and dramatic eyes gave her a lioness quality that is quintessentially Leo.

The New Moon in Capricorn, the sign of maturity and perseverance, arrives on Tuesday, January 16, at 9:17 p.m. EST, and will be active until Friday, January 26. Venus , the planet of attraction and harmony, is also in Capricorn, and will tightly embrace the New Moon. This unique planetary alignment will add a romantic, artistic flair to all new endeavors in the coming weeks. Thanks to the influence of Capricorn, no matter how inspired or romantic you may feel, you’ll likely remain grounded and will be inclined to think long-term. If you are a creative professional or aspiring artist, your commitment to your work will help your artistry flourish. If you are in business (Capricorn’s domain), your professionalism and social grace can now help you secure a lucrative opportunity.
