 FEBRUARY OVERVIEW

 

February will host two eclipses, so it’s likely this month will be a memorable highlight of 2017.  The first eclipse will be a lunar eclipse that takes place in 22 degrees of Leo, on Friday, February 10, while the second will be a solar eclipse, in 8 degrees of Pisces, on Sunday, February 26.  Both eclipses will be supported by powerful planets, (Uranus and Saturn), so you’ll have every reason to look on the bright side as 2017 progresses!

Personal expression will be the main theme for the Leo lunar eclipse. No matter what sign you are, you’ll feel uplifted and ready to take a risk. This may involve a creative project you’ve poured your heart into, a budding romance, or new and improved way of relating to the world that surrounds you.  This eclipse will create a grand trine with Uranus and Saturn, so effects will likely be magical, especially for fire signs, (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius). Uranus is the planet of technology, innovation, and charitable service, so no matter what sign you are, you’ll likely be inspired by a collective vision.  You’ll be wise to ask yourself ‘how can I make the biggest impact’?, ‘what can I give that has most value’? These questions may set you on a direction you hadn’t thought of, as Uranus is also known as the awakener that challenges the status quo. Saturn is the planet of maturity and achievement, and will encourage you to take a challenging leadership role that demands sophistication and a wide base of knowledge.

The end of February will sparkle with an annual solar eclipse of the Sun, this time in watery Pisces.  Make sure to mark Sunday, February 26, on your calendar, as this day will mark an inspiring new beginning.   This eclipse will be in a warm embrace with Neptune (the ruler of Pisces), now in Pisces- a beautiful torrent of Piscean energy!  Your imagination will light up, as a life dream, ideal, or vision that once seemed unrealistic or far too far away will now seem possible, and within close reach.  The good news is there will be a fine line between what you perceive and what is real. Do not underestimate the power of your imagination, as it will likely be the main tool you use to carve out your vision, and make it real. 

I was recently struck as I noticed business magnate and famed philanthropist,  Warren Buffet has the Sun conjunct (in close embrace) with Neptune (in Virgo, the sign of service).  His intuition is just as powerful, if not more so, than his reasoning.  Indeed, his gift goes way beyond numbers-it is a kind of deep wisdom that never fails him, of knowing when and how, to the make the right move. Everyone will get a taste of this power with this Solar eclipse.  On the same day Mars, the action planet (and ruler of Aries) will fall into the arms of Uranus, the planet of unpredictability (now in Aries).  This will be a fireworks display, especially for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.  If someone important tempts you or pushes your button, take the high road, and you’ll be all the wiser. Every sign will likely be tempted in one way or another, and how you handle that temptation will hold great power. Grace under pressure will give you a victorious win as you cross the finish line.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

A Light Touch

What does it mean for you to be creative Aries? Whatever your answer may be, this month you’ll have the chance to experiment with a different side of your personality. The results will likely amaze you, if you fully commit. This will likely involve the exchange between independence and interdependence. Knowing how far you can go before you cross the line and become too domineering, will likely be your main lesson. You’ll have a unique opportunity to get others on your side, if you allow them space to enter your spectacular new world. A light touch, soft sell, or collaborative approach will likely win over the right person in a flash. Contain your enthusiasm and excitement, and you’ll gain influence over an uncertain outcome or circumstance. Once you figure out how to best channel the fire within you, you’ll create sparks that will last. Allow yourself the freedom to become anything you want to be. play a different role, or maybe you’ll want to play as many roles as possible. However you decided to present yourself, know that in the end, you’re in complete creative control.

 

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

Invisible Roots

 Stability comes in many forms, whether it be emotional, financial, or relational, but for you Taurus, stability lies in your spirit. No matter what may be happening around you, it’s your inner light, (no matter how dim or bright), that anchors you. A moment of quiet reflection will likely give you a heads up as to where you’re currently at, ‘light wise’. Notice what comes up. A family member might be on your mind, or you may be concerned about your home, or current living situation. What’s in store looks beautiful, although you may see that just yet…later in month it will all become clear. If you’re involved in a relocation, real estate endeavor, or family business, it will likely turn out to be a blessing for you, but you’ll have to ride a few waves before you get to shore. Give yourself a bit of leeway be pulled in various directions, and ironically, you’ll likely find yourself feeling more stable, and grounded. The more uncomfortable you feel initially, the more secure you’ll likely be in the long run. Remember this when things get fiery, and you’ll create the perfect amount of heat for your spiritual sustenance.

 

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

Stretch your Mind

Look to a mentor, trusted colleague, or partner to open your mind, and gain a fresh perspective. You’ll have the edge in regards to pure reason, and logic, but to make a real influence, you’ll also need a dose of wise optimism from someone who matters. If you’re in academia or media, you’ll likely have a special opportunity to showcase the power of your intellect. No matter what field you’re in, your ideas will be on the right track.  Make a real effort to brainstorm with others and expand your social network, and you’ll quickly see results. If you’re experimenting with new professional territory, a newly formed organization, committee, or social movement may be the perfect outlet for you find your voice. What you have to express will likely have mass appeal, so keep this in mind if you’re in the process of strategizing. Also, have a sense of flexibility about your ultimate mission, and you’ll likely find yourself in the right place at the right time. The more fluidity you can maintain as you move from one goal or responsibility, to another, the easier it will be to make key connections, and sell your greatest attributes. You’ll have agency within your professional sphere, but a light- handed approach will get you farther than your pure will. Read between the lines in regards to your star client, head executive, or VIP, and you’ll capitalize on the essence of what’s in the making.

 

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

 The Missing Piece of the Puzzle

You’ll come to a clear understanding of what’s most important to you as the lunar eclipse arrives. Remember that the moon is your ruler, Cancer, so you will be especially sensitive to the effects of this lunar eclipse. Your lifestyle, finances, or self-confidence will likely play a key role in an important life transition. This has likely been going on for some time. A series of changes and discoveries within yourself have likely led you to want to break out of your regular mode, and redefine your life.  You may feel ready for a fresh life mission that transcends your typical needs and desires. This month you’ll have a chance to feel the exhilaration of being a part of a grand vision, and your individuality will be strengthened. If you’re interested in exploring a new line of work, the timing couldn’t be better. With steady focus and a can do attitude, an untapped talent can come to light, and revitalize your cash flow. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Sculpting in the Dark

When you feel secure from within, it’s so much easier to shine, as Leo is the sign of pure confidence. You’ll have the chance to come face to face with where you draw your security from, as the month progresses. You may discover it’s your lover, child, or if you are single with no children, you may realize the value of your innocence- that is to say, your genuine belief in the beauty and wonder of life. However this manifests in your actual life, you will grow to appreciate happiness, and as a result, you’ll likely feel exceptionally hopeful (at least more than you usually do). Love will likely feel palpable, as if you could touch it and mold it like clay. Indulge in the journey of experimenting with how far your emotions (and that of your loved one), can bend and curve, and you’ll likely come up with a masterpiece of true human connection. Yes. It’s likely love will be your greatest teacher this month, and no matter what happens, if you can keep your heart open, you’ll taken to new heights. Attachment will likely be the magic word for you as the month ends. What does it mean to place your full trust in another? Might you be ready to take the leap into the unknown, even if part of you wants to hold back? Letting go will likely be easier than you think.

 

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Oceanic Bliss

If you’ve felt something has been holding you back from finding the security you crave, but you’re not sure what it may be, remain aware. Soon, light will shine on the shadow of your untapped potential. In other words, an unconscious behavioral pattern, emotional blockage, or deep seated doubt will be revealed for what it is, and you’ll have the power to make a lasting change. If you’re currently recovering from a disappointment, or personal loss of some kind, rest assured you’re likely healing in deeper ways than you imagine. Let yourself completely feel whatever comes up, as the more courageous you are, the more inner peace you’ll have. You may feel it’s finally time to come to terms with an ending in your life, yet not realize you’ve already processed what you need to, even though you may have a hard time naming it. No matter, trust your gut Virgo. Once you get quiet and get a real sense of what’s going on with you from an internal/emotional place, you’ll likely realize you feel stronger than ever. Ironically, this will make it easier for you to be vulnerable. As the month ends, you’ll likely be ready to dive in head first, and the view underwater will likely be mesmerizing. If you long for a new romantic life, your wish will likely be fulfilled, not as the result of a prince charming or perfect goddess, but because of you, and your willingness to go with the flow.

 

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

The Dance of Negotiation

Whatever you’re selling these days, people will want- so keep this in mind as the month progresses. You might be wheeling and dealing to close a big deal that may open the door for a whole new enterprise, or might snag a stellar account or client, only to realize it’s just the beginning. At the very least, you’ll get twice back what you put out, and as the sign of justice and fair play, you’ll definitely have a winning hand. That said, you’ll be wise to take your interactions seriously. Realize that what’s agreed on now will likely be longstanding, and your commitment will be taken at your word. If you need to settle an important matter with a sibling, agent, or client, think long term and look at the big picture before you make a final decision. Although you may not have complete control over how things pan out, (as the other party may not be the most reliable), with foresight, you’ll clear the way for a path understanding. This will be important-to have the wherewithal to get others on the same page with you- those who may hold different values, or challenge your perspective. Once you get comfortable with the dance of negotiation, and realize you cannot always have your steps perfectly choreographed, you’ll become an expert- and the floor will be yours to move in whatever direction you choose, on the fly.

 

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Steadfast Momentum

 Conservation will be your guide to freedom once you clarify what’s most important to keep, and protect. This may involve an investment, professional project, or lifestyle matter that’s been on you mind for some time. It will likely take a while to weigh the pros and cons of your particular circumstance, and you may still not come up with a hard and fast solution. Sometimes life is messy. Although we cannot always control what we would like to, with guided effort, we can at least know what’s going on. Often, this can make all the difference. Consider this idea as you forge ahead to reach a milestone in your career, or life path, and new possibilities will surface. Things that once seemed too unrealistic or far fetched will now be plausible, doable, and may even make perfect sense (with the right mindset). Whatever you see in front of you, Scorpio, keep your feet on the ground, and you’ll capitalize on what’s possible. A one step at a time approach will likely create the momentum for a full fledged sprint-so trust the process. Also, trust your heart. Yes. It looks like cupid will have his eye on you this month. In fact, you’re likely to be his primary target. Take it in stride. His arrow may knock you down and you may be out of sorts for a while, but when you rise, all the colors of the world will be highlighted, and your love life will begin again, anew.

 

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

 The weight of responsibility has been on your shoulders for a while now Sagittarius, so much that you likely have become accustomed to it. As the zodiac’s most optimistic sign, you have a knack for handling difficulties, and are always up for a heroic challenge. You’ll have a beautiful opportunity to put your heroic skills to use as you strive for a greater sense of authority in your life. This may involve a business trip, overdue vacation, or legal matter. However it plays out, you’ll be encouraged to rise to the occasion, and do what you think is only right. You may feel as if your integrity is on the line, but in reality your personal standards are likely becoming higher, and more in line with who you are. On this note, your personal expression will have special influence over your decision making…how do you want to be seen? What is the difference between how you know yourself to be, and others know you? The space that lies between will offer you a fabulous opportunity to rediscover a childhood talent, and build on it. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Diving Deep

Close ties will give you the security you desire as the month unfolds. This may involve a business alliance, lover, or someone else who you have grown to trust, over time. It’s often said the human species is hardwired to bond with another-that it’s in our very nature to desire closeness and intimacy. Give into the part of yourself that needs to feel united, and you’ll likely learn an important lesson about your spirituality. To hold belief in what you cannot clearly see or touch, yet inwardly feel, will be your greatest challenge, and blessing. The risk in this is that you may second guess yourself, or feel slightly off balance as you steer your attention inward. Capricorn after all, is an earth sign, and is accustomed to the natural world. But this month you’ll be diving underneath the surface. The more exploratory you are, the more you’ll find. So think of yourself as a treasure hunter who knows where the buried treasure is.  As long as you follow the map (of your instincts), you’ll be headed toward abundance, security, and everything you truly desire, and need.
