January begins with a tight embrace between Mars and Neptune, awakening our imagination while recharging our sexual vitality. Use your energy wisely at the beginning of the month, as this will set the tone for 2017, the year if “One”.  This is interesting to me, in that Mars, the ruler of the zodiac’s first sign Aries, is all about going full out for what you want, not holds barred. Neptune, however, is the opposite. As the ruler of Pisces, the zodiac’s last (and arguably wisest) sign, Neptune wants us to abandon our ego and individuality, so we can fall into our true nature and surrender to universal consciousness (or what you may personally believe to be God).

Pay attention to any uncanny feelings, signs, or premonitions, and you’ll likely be led to a labyrinth in which you can navigate through both the beginning and ending of your own unique journey (it could involve a relationship, professional goal, or emotional process). Somewhere there is message of balance…look for it, and you’ll become more comfortable with exploring the extremes of your emotional experience. With the help of the rapturous embrace between fire (Mars) and water (Neptune), you’ll be pulled to your spiritual center. When I was on the way to the gym early this morning, on the subway I noticed a small sticker on the pole right beside me. It said “You’re doing it right”.

So, on this note, I urge you to get into action (Mars), and notice all that’s around you (Neptune).  You’ll likely be amazed by what you find- just for you~

 

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

Emotional Stability

Deep Emotions must be acknowledged and dealt with. Don’t be afraid to take a look at your inner life. How secure are you feeling? A rattling sense of escapism may be transformed into a great source of vitality. Have the courage to come to terms with a real need for freedom and change. Even if you have no idea as to how to spur it along, just an awareness will be enough to send you in the right direction.  A promising relationship may make your question who you are…as you may realize you’ve changed more than you thought, and are in a completely new space.  How to please the other yet still have your own needs met? It’s Never too Late to Dream

It’s never too late to dream a new dream, no matter how idealistic it may initially seem. If it comes from a place of truth within you (from child hood, or a new recent self-discovery), there is validity there; you can trust in that.  In fact, you may be obligated (spiritually) to act. Take a precious moment to see if you may feel this way about a particular area of your life. The distant future may gradually come closer- so close that the heart of the image if magnified, like an extreme close up in a movie. Details that were once blurry and out of focus will sharpen, and take on a profound beauty that deeply moves you. You may secretly desire to “have it all”, and feel guilty about this, as you may already have so much to be grateful for. Take this inner longing for more, to heart however, like a whisper from your angelic alter ego. The time has come for your life to expand, and for your compassionate side to be fully exposed.  This will allow generous space for you to enjoy even more pleasure, and love. Earned Paradise

Change your thinking, and you’ll release yourself as a victim of your circumstances; rise above what’s directly in front of you, behind you, and beside you, and you’ll recapture your mind’s  prowess (and your brilliance). You can have agency, but not without a fierce commitment a high minded approach. If you’re sensing you’re at the verge of losing control of your authority, or investment, (you likely the know the intimate details of all this), you can figure out a way to regain balance, but the caveat is that you must release an outworn perspective, way of being, opinion, or thought process that no longer works for you. It’s up to you to make it over.
